On Saturday, June 4, 2011, PREP will hold a workshop on Parents’ Rights and Responsibilities: Special Education Workshop and Educational Consultation Clinic in San Diego at Cherokee Point Elementary School.

At the workshop, parents will have the opportunity to:

• Learn more about the Special Education process
• Find out what an “IEP” is
• Learn how to prepare for an IEP meeting & more!

At the clinic, parents who choose to register for a special one hour session will be able to: 

• Meet with a volunteer advocate for an hour to discuss their child’s educational needs
• Create an action plan to support their child’s success

The event is free, all parents are welcome, lunch and childcare will be provided, and all presentations will be made in both Spanish and English.  Registration is limited to the first 50 parents, so register soon by completing the form at the bottom of the attached flyer or calling (619) 293-4431.   For more information and to access the registration form, please click here.
